
Kym Myck is a Puerto Rican/Norwegian multi-modal Visual Artist currently residing in Bend, Oregon. An upstate New York native, she is deeply connected to nature and attributes growing up at an early age on her grandfather's farm in the Pocono forest as her inspiration. Kym is an Aromatherapy/Herbology/Reiki/ Healing Touch Practitioner and Creative Health & Wellness Coach as well.
Kym holds an MFA in Interdisciplinary Art from Goddard College and a BA in Visual Art from Thomas Edison University. She also holds AA degrees from San Bernardino Valley College in Digital Art and Chaffey College in Technology. Additionally, Kym has earned two professional certifications from San Bernardino Valley College in Graphic Design and also Web & Multimedia Design. She has done prior undergraduate coursework at California State University San Bernardino in Graphic Design and prior graduate work at Prescott College in Expressive Arts Therapy. She has also completed coursework at the University of California Berkeley studying the Science of Happiness/Positive Psychology. Kym has earned Master Level in Usui Reiki and holds an Intermediate Certification in Herbology from The Herbal Academy and is currently pursuing Clinical Certification. She is the founder of ARTNIK, a 501(c)3 non-profit that offers arts education, community engagement, as well as a digital art magazine, ARTNIK, Inc.
Her MFAIA graduate thesis work focused on four core areas: Creativity for Wellness; Human Happiness; Positive Psychology; and the Engagement of Creative Flow. Kym is currently pursuing an MS in Somatic Clinical Counseling from Prescott College.
